Women Who Disgust Me

Tick Tack I can hear the clock tick away, probably counting every moment I move closer to my grave. Gone are the days when at my age I'd be a mother of three, here are the days when at my age I hustle better than a man was taught to back in the day. It's a tough world with no silver platers just a few plates of plastic to get you by the day.

I'm glad that I live in an era where I fight for what's available fair and square with men. Yes people of opposite sex. It gives me pleasure that I can conquer and not a single consideration made about my physique.

Then there is the obnoxious lot of women who feel slots should be reserved for them everywhere. They disgust me, they are probably the type to drink and eat off a man's bill. If you want to be chairperson, work for it. Don't ask for a special post be reserved for female chair person. Who do you think you are to get reserved posts. If you can't fight, languish in your blondness, I'll see you in the next life.

I am no feminist but my understanding of feminism is women empowering women. Empowering your gender does not mean you step and diminish men. First things first, you would have never been in existence if a man did not participate in an act you feel is the only thing men think about when they look at you. Woman style up, if you want to empower women, educate them and teach the how to fight head on for what they want in a 'man the alpha' type of society. Feminism is a beautiful thing, but when it turns to trashing men to gain esteem, then you are just preaching what you can't practice.

As if that is not enough, these women who sleep around to climb up the ladder. Girls you are just spoiling it for all of us. If you decide to sleep around for a living, that's fine and I respect it because that's your hustle. Office sex to get a job or a promotion? Really? Then you stand tall and talk about how men should respect women. How will they, when they fetch for a position to put you...so deep.

I have a bone to chew with girls who leave the house with their broke behinds, sit at the club with one drink and wait for a man to approach and take care of the rest of the evening. If you are the type of girl who sits in a restaurant and eats food amounting to more money than what you have in their purse, shame on you. Didn't your mama tell you to live according to your means? Fine, probably you give the man sex in return, but really girl? For just a dinner or a couple of drinks. If you really want to exchange sex for favors, let the favors make an impact in your life, not some cheap edibles you'll deposit in the toilet in a few hours time. I don't see why you sleep around and still be broke, sleep around and cruise the world.

I think it all starts at a young age, what are you teaching your daughter? Should she do some things and leave others because it is men who do such. Never tell your daughter let the boys do that, let her learn to do it so that some day she don't sit cheap waiting for a man to do stuff for her. Teach her the value of a man. Let her know that a man is her strongest opponent in her career path but her dire need in her personal life. Teach her to tell when she is being treated and when she is being tricked.

We all need men. I cannot begin to imagine life without men in this world. Don't hate, embrace men and remember to be sharp upstairs. You only get addressed by the way you dress. So if you feel men don't respect ladies, you probably wear a gown of self disrespect to every man's house and that's why. Dress in self respect level 100% heels and respect level 100% is how a man will approach you.

Then again #solelymyopinion

My Black Gold

A girlfriend advised that I take some painkiller
I felt like all I needed was a traditional healer
Involuntarily it now dawned that I'm a babysitter
I'd have sold so much motors if I was a car dealer
So much time invested in this.

Mirror mirror, oh please! whoever invented you
I stand staring, disturbed,without a single clue
Instead do you know how much alcohol I would brew?
If I could afford a lawyer I'll definitely sue
Stop looking at me if you won't help.

I remember the days when I'd wake up in the morning
Wash, tidy, eat and leave before you finished blinking
The cold winds on my head made me feel I was soaring
I could quickly catch up with the boys and go bawling
Oh now no one waits for I take too long.

You are like petroleum, almost priceless
A rare kind I can't afford to be careless
I love you because you are free and fearless
You grow so fast your roots I bless
You my darling HAIR

No comb goes through you
You are charged twice in every salon,
You cannot be styled in anyway.
People however admire you
I will be forever grateful to the gods of the land
For genes that people would give anything for.
You my lovely HAIR are my AIR

The Beast in My Beauty (Natural Home Remedy for Skin)

I am not the makeup kind of girl. In fact I think I am the most natural lady I have come across. I do dreadlocks or short hair and my morning products basically consist of Vaseline petroleum jelly, a mild deo, and baby powder. I could say I am a lip balm addict.

I use baby powder to absorb extra oil on my face and Vaseline basically for my whole body. My allergy for scents limits me to mild deos for an option. I must say I am a lucky girl, I don’t sweat as much and I do not stench either so I get away fresh, cheap and easy.

My easy lifestyle is however starting to change and I know change has never been comfortable. The natural routines are not serving good purpose especially for the outbreaks I have been having on my face of late.

I’ve never had signs to alert me of my periods (so I don’t know what people mean by cramps). At first I wanted to assume that the extremely painful pimples, dry skin patches and black spots left behind were all related to the menstrual cycle but now I guess there is cause for alarm.

I have always used a certain type of lip balm a friend used to supply but now she closed down her business and I don’t know where to get it. I have tried a similar one, I’m told is of the same quality but my million dollar lips are now chipping. My lips are the most priceless assets on my face so I don’t think I want to play guinea pig with them.

Probably you might be going through the same problem and can’t tell what to do next. Many people give suggestions but you can’t just try them out without precautions…right? Personally my skin has a history of reacting to everything right from certain fumes, to climate, to water, lotions and even metallic accessories.

A visit to the dermatologist once was horrific, I had to drink aloe vera and still never got any results. I’ll definitely give the dermatologist a visit again.

However, before I go there, there are natural skin care routines that have been working miracles for me. Try them out, since they are natural, they will either work or not work but they can’t harm you.

Every once a week use these simple steps to get your skin baby smooth.

1. Cleanser
Squeeze an orange to get at least three table spoons of juice. Add about two table spoons of water and dip cotton wool into the mixture and spread it gently on your face in an anti-clockwise pattern. Make sure to reach all parts of your face, from the hairline above the fore head, to the ears, down to your upper neck. Let it be for about 5 minutes and rinse with clean warm water. Dub with clean towel.

2. Scrubber
Take two teaspoons full of maize flour, add little water until it forms a paste. Use this to scrub your face in an anticlockwise motion reaching all parts of your face. Do this for a minute and then rinse with clean warm water. Dub with clean towel.

3. Steamer
Boil at least two litters of water and pour into a clean bowl/bucket. Dip your face into the bucket and cover the bucket (with your head inside) with a clean towel. This is to ensure no steam escapes and therefore the water doesn’t cool. The steam should have a burning sensation on your face. Do not be afraid to inhale and exhale the hot steam, does miracles for colds too. Keep your head inside for close to 5 minutes then rinse with clean warm water. Dub with clean towel. (You can raise your head to catch a few cold breaths at certain comfortable intervals.

4. Mask
Drill a small hole into an egg and drain out the egg white (don’t use the yolk) Spread the egg white evenly on your face and let it for 5 to 10 minutes, it will do no harm. Rinse with clean warm water. Dub with clean towel.

5.Apply whatever product you use, for me Vaseline works magic.

You have a baby’s ass for a face in less than 30 minutes plus everything is readily available in the house or at a nearby retail store. I’m using this while I wait to see the doctor. Fingers crossed.

Perfect for the Sake of the Imperfect

What’s for dinner? Are the dishes done? When was this room last swept? Don’t forget to prepare lunch for the grounds men. Clean these shoes before you go to the market. Your cousin is in hospital, remember to visit her. Your sister complained about her marriage, have you talked to her? Your grades are poor and you are not Christian like anymore.

Cinderella was not just a tale in Naomi’s life, it was her life. She recalls as a little girl, she’d drag her kid sister from school. She had to clean her uniform and her sister’s, climb the kitchen stool to prepare porridge before showering and sitting down for homework. She never got to understand why she wasn’t her mother’s favorite like her sister was; but since she had internalized blame in her system, she survived. She knew whether a mistake was hers or someone else’s she still would bear the punishment.

As Naomi grew older, the responsibilities only piled up more. She now cleaned up after her two elder siblings who seemed to get away with everything. Her back took a certain hunch from all the cleaning, cooking and thinking, she had to do for a football team size family. The little brains she possessed would remind her constantly to spend as little as she could and save the rest for a rainy day. She didn’t know what she’d use the little pennies she saved for, but she knew it was wise to save.

The plastic container lined out with tissue, so it wouldn’t make coin noises, was filled up with tens and twenties but her spendthrift elder sister would ravish all of it before it even got to money worth spending. She liked to grab fries and went on a million tea dates but never cared to leave a little for tomorrow. Naomi’s heart sank deeper than her self esteem but whenever she tried to speak tears overwhelmed her speech.

Naomi was raised to be more of a man, to be there for everyone. She’d stay up to wait for her father and warm his food on days he arrived late. Just like she’d cover up for all her sisters’ whereabouts since she was the stay at home girl. It never occurred to anyone that she went to school but had no friends, she cared less though, pens and papers were all the friends she ever needed.

The quiet laid back personality began to fade off when Naomi started to experience life from a wider aspect. She had grown into a broken record that’d yap and was all over the place. She grew lazy when it came to chores and cared less what everyone thought or said. The ‘God’ she was raised to give utmost respect all diminished to just a religious being other Christians other than her owed their life to.

Whisky tasted better than cola and sex was an ordinary topic of discussion just like movies. Despite the freedom Naomi now swam in, she was still in bondage. Trips back home were devastating because at the end of it all, she was still the chores girl. The girl who never had a life because she lived it for others.

Naomi grew into a monster, her heart froze that it felt no pain and no fear. She saw the world from a perspective many would term as demonic. She believed now more than ever that life was just a onetime chance that should be exploited.

Naomi would save every penny she could with a vision this time round. Like other young ladies she’d dream of cars, houses, kids and whatever berries life had to offer, but deep down, her one ultimate goal was to move out to a place of her own. All she craved for was peace of mind.

In the life she lived and still lives, Naomi is a sister, a brother, a mother, a caretaker, a doctor, a counselor, a love expert, a perfect human and all she wants to be is an imperfect girl living a perfectly normal life. Some things don’t change, because her best friends are still pens and papers.

Her Sanity in Confusion

Evalo had never been so confused all her life. Suddenly it's like her world revolved around a subject she barely knew. Every time she had a dream it would be really blurred. Her sixth sense would sniff company but her mind could have been too distracted to send any signals to her heart.

The cold that would engulf her when she was not at work or at school was unbearable, explained why she'd keep herself busy until she had no strength left in her. It was difficult for her to look at the world the same way she did a little while ago. She had grown insensitive to the world that had taught her so much in such a short time.

Evalo is the kind of woman who is in control of her life, her future, her past and leaves nothing to chance. Probably this is enough explanation for her lone ranger lifestyle. She'd stand out wherever she goes and so she found a way to sew confidence into her shy personality fabric.

As much as she is steel strong,Evalo has a weakness, a soft spot I'd say, one she hates with attitude. She hates it because that button makes her weak in the knees, makes her mind wander from work at mid day and clearly makes her heart crave for the forbidden.

She wouldn't hear from Yddif every single day, but the few times she did, she slept peaceful and her smile would beam. She felt a cloud of bliss from the debris of her heart but she was afraid. Scared that history has a tendency of recurring, and so she keeps a safe distance.

She back dates to a year ago when she went out with him, it was the first and had been the last since then. He was a perfect gentle man, respectful, calm , soft spoken and definitely cute. Evalo would never forget the few times their skin brushed and all she felt was warmth, soft and smooth skin that gave forth a voodoo she found irresistible.

As she wakes up daily, amidst the confusion life offers and the work that weighs her down at the end of the day, she finds solace in a phone call. At the other end of the line is a stranger, a friend, she is not sure. She is however sure, he is the only sane thing in her life.

Campus Life After Life

The breath of freedom excited her a little bit
She wondered if she'd learn to live there and fit
In a world so new that it felt like a deep pit,
To be wise, still and calm she took the back seat,
Campus life, she had heard of it, now she gotta live it

The room was dusty but looked bearable,
A little sigh at that point was suitable,
As she cleaned and unpacked what she held valuable,
She tried to make her new home quite comfortable,
Campus life, she wondered if she'd be able.

It didn't take her long to notice and mark a trend,
She still walked alone, finding her way,not a single friend,
She knew at the back of her mind it will all count at the end,
She pledged that one day for her children she'll fend,
Campus life , did it have a hand to lend?

The skimpy dressing and open air relationship,
At first was too much but she hoped on to the ship,
Over time she learned the art of friendship,
Opened up to new possibilities, tried out the spaceship,
Campus life, may be it could offer mentor ship.

Too bad she reported during a political time,
Not taking a side was actually a federal crime,
Tension was high she had to learn how to mime,
The school president was to be chosen among lime,
Campus life, on it she could not place a rhyme.

She hated the campaigners who'd go door to door,
Not just because they'd dirty her clean floor,
Some along with the campaigns wanted something more,
She'd heard of the gold rush , but thought it sore,
Campus life, she hoped it was worth living for.

Hot built and sexy they gently knocked unlike usually,
They walked in and they were appealing visually,
She disguised her blush with a serious face held firmly,
They were rugby players, her favorite sport coincidentally,
Campus life, wasn't turning out so badly.

One of them she started to meet a bit often,
There bond grew stronger as time baked it in the oven,
Date one two and three and by date seven,
They were a a pair, one plus one made eleven
Campus life, was now on earth, a little heaven.

It's her last year in campus and she can't wait,
Her freshman year definitely carries the weight,
She's happy her ex did not determine her fate,
She had her peak but snapped out before it was too late,
Campus life, did give her, her first date.

Word from OOGAM
Campus offers you a chance to live without rules, a chance to experience life in a maximum type of freedom, that wouldn't be found anywhere else. No one cares for what you do or say. Live without limitations but do not forget, there is still a life after Campus Life.
