Sweet Frankie

Tall Dark and Handsome,
Well he was pretty much more than that,
His eyes held gold,
His hand were like the touch of pearls
I know, sweet Frankie.

His voice made thunder whisper,
Gave me thrill on my spine,
He was that dream I never wanted to end,
He was that sun I'd look forward to in the morning,
I'll miss my sweet Frankie.

He had hair on his hands,
Then he'd rub it on me and I'd fall,
Fall in love all over again,
Because he didn't sweep me off my feet,
He carried me away to the sky.

Moments with him were moments of bliss
Every single cares was worth eternity,
He was all I ever wanted at that single moment,
His affection was better than Beyonce attention,
So I miss Frankie.

Like the wind blows west to east,
Frankie came and left,
In the bitter quietness of my heart,
He left the sweet harmony of love
Joy and better still
A lil heaven of Frankie.

Age is Just a Number

To the sweet pure innocence of my child,
I compare the priceless wisdom of my grandpa,
Just as the little baby needs to be fed,
So does sweet old granny needs help to walk,
Don't you think age is just a number.

The beauty you see in my young flawless skin,
Is just what dad sees in mum's wrinkled face,
The powerful energetic stinging talent in Beyonce,
Resembles the glow and beauteous gift of Aretha,
Coz age doesn't change a thing.

If you loved her for who she is and she did too,
For as young or as old she was, she was lovely,
If he made it in life a bit earlier,
Or he finally made it at the very end,
You do realize age is just a number.

The clock ticks but time does not,
The best of life is offered in every single day,
Woman breaks world record for oldest dancer,
Baby breaks world record for the youngest dancer,
Both names are in the guinness book, age is just...

When you feel you have not achieved yet,
When you think you are the last among friends,
Remember time flys but its never too late,
Get it a sweet sixteen or at smashing forty,
Age Is Just a Number

Cheer Up

If you saw the sunrise today,
Yet you saw it set yesterday.
If u heard the rain last night,
N u got clear skys today.
Cheer up.

If you had a cold in the morning,
Now you are fresh as new.
If u cried a lot yesterday,
Today you cant help laughing.
Cheer up.

If you didn't have a thing to eat,
Today you are spoiled for choice.
If you didn't have the voice to speak,
Now you are louder than ever.
So cheer up.

If life beat you down,
You sprung up strong.
If you ever lost hope,
Today you got faith.
Just Cheer up.

If you were in your death bed,
You've have eternity to live.
You were never dead,
So you are still alive.
It won't hurt to just cheer up.

Music Lover of My Soul

It all began with just a word,
With time I had three lines,
Then I opened my heart to pour it out,
The joy and the hurt all flowed,
On paper, just pen on paper.

Each verse matched its message,
Each line rhymed its prior,
Each word meant what it said,
Every piece was differently special,
On just pieces of paper.

Then that beautiful tune comes to mind,
A melody so strange but perfectly fits,
In a twist and twine with each word,
It all comes alive indestructibility,
From that first word.

Accapela or accompanied by instrument,
Acoustic guitar, grand piano or just a beat,
Hum it, sing it or perform it,
Touches the heart, re-nourishes the soul,
They call it Music, I call it 'My Life'

Ego So Big

You call it snob I call it ego,
Makes me dress up like a million dollars,
When I only got a dollar in my pocket,
Make me feel beautiful and just lovely,
In my black skin big drowsy eyes,
Its my ego.

You call it ignorance, I call it wisdom,
Makes me go deaf on the world and live my life,
I walk by people staring coz I stand out,
Love it when people talk coz I got them engaged,
Care less what people think and just think of me,
Lovely ego

You call it arrogance, I call it confidence,
Won't let a man touch if he ain't supposed to,
Go for a job interview and impress by no effort,
Let them know my personality when they meet me'
Love me for who I am or go to hell'
That's my ego.

You call it pretense, I call it me,
The girl that got confidence from fear,
She had to learn strength from weakness,
Just like she got confidence lessons from judgment,
But she got Ego for her inner Ego

Take It Easy

Wake up and smile,
Look in the mirror and laugh,
Laugh at that funny dream you had,
Or just take a minute on your knees.
To tell God you are grateful yet again.

Life is hard enough, so take it easy
In this journey, eternity cannot complete,
The green outside your window,
Should make you feel fresh air,
So that every sunrise makes you new.

There is more to life than wine and dine,
The best gift God gives is each new day,
Make lemonade if life gives u lemons,
Try get through each day with joy within,
Its by unconditional love that you live,
It might be a favor, so do not fear.

Worst Mondays and favorite Fridays,
Both are gifts, a chance, an opportunity,
Grab it while it still lasts,
So you'll never regret when you look back,
Let each day be full of joy,
As if you were a telitubby in telitubby land.
