Let Go
I ran out into the rain,
I hoped that the water would drain,
Away the hurt, guilt and pain,
I could jump in front of a train,
If I wouldn't learn forgiveness.
I needed a hug and probably a kiss,
Only because I felt something was a miss,
I longed for that inner peace,
Like that past moment in life full of bliss,
When letting go was so much easier.
It was a shock, quite a surprise,
I wondered how I'd build my up rise,
Served burnt a meal of stew and rice,
A little humanity would be nice,
When we learn to forgive.
Let go, learn to move on.
Spread your wings, taste new waters.
Archive the past and march into the future.
It is easier that way than ever.
