So he gave you a rose, a red one of course,
He also bought chocolates, a woman's best bet,
A romantic dinner, caped the busy twiny day,
Then a light kiss and a good night smile,
The day was just perfect.
It was lover's day, so you expected heaven,
He promised so much, but then just stood you up,
He might be cheating if he didn't dump you that eve,
Went to bed, confused, tired and disappointed,
The day totally sucked.
Streets and social sites all painted red,
Reminds you of all the hurt and pain he caused you,
You cried, when you remembered how he treated you,
You got so mad at every couple that passed by,
Valentines was just a painful affair.
Wow! It's valentines yet again,
You are so single and you are loving it,
Went to work about your business as usual,
It went unnoticed but you are smiling.
You just love your life.
After all. It had a sunrise and sunset just like any other day.
